Robert T. Kaneko, DAOM, LAc Licensed since 1985, Robert’s unique healing practice draws on his deep interests in natural health care and energetic medicine, and is rooted in many years of clinical experience as a doctor of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. His practice incorporates years of knowledge of Chinese herbs, nutrition, and internal meditative exercises to strengthen and heal the body. Robert has a gentle and nurturing way when working with people. His intention in treating patients is to help them to live as happily, joyfully, and with as much lightness as they can. He has been a faculty member at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon since 1992, and also served as the dean of clinics and as clinic director. He participated in research projects with Oregon Health Sciences University and Kaiser's Center for Health Research, studying fatigue in patients with multiple sclerosis and cranio-facial pain/tempero-mandibular disorder.
